Privacy Policy

Who we are

Our website address is: https://phoenixsoundstudio.co.uk.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string. This helps with spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also known as a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture may be visible to the public alongside your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images that contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site can download images and extract any location data included in them.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may choose to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. This is for convenience, so you do not have to re-enter your details when leaving another comment. These cookies last for one year.

If you visit our login page, a temporary cookie will be set to check whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.

When you log in, several cookies are set to store your login details and screen display preferences. Login cookies last for two days, and screen preference cookies last for one year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will remain active for two weeks. Logging out removes the login cookies.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. This cookie does not store personal data and only records the post ID of the article you edited. It expires after one day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content such as videos, images, or articles. Embedded content behaves in the same way as if you had visited the external website directly.

These third-party websites may collect data about you, use cookies, include extra tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, especially if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the password reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are kept indefinitely. This allows follow-up comments to be approved automatically rather than being held for moderation.

For users who register on our website (if applicable), we store the personal information provided in their user profile. Users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time, except for their username. Website administrators can also view and edit this information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you provided. You may also request that we delete your personal data. This does not include data we must keep for administrative, legal, or security reasons.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
